Recharge and Reconnect #2 2025
On Wednesday, 27th of August 2025, Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) in Auckland established Recharge and Reconnect for the second time with the theme Karaoke Night: Sing the Memories!. This event occurred at Java, 322 Karangahape Road, Auckland Central, starting 06:30 PM until 09:30 PM. This event started with registration, and then proceed with the opening ceremony by the head of Well-Being division of PPI Auckland. Before starting karaoke, the audiences are welcomed to request the songs they would like to sing. These songs may be sung together, as to create a fun and joyful nuance. When the audiences sung and did karaoke, at the same moment the delicious feast were presented by Java restaurant. As the ending of this event, the entire audiences were welcomed to take picture together as to commemorate the occasion.
With the total of 36 people, the Karaoke Night successfully brought fun, excitement, and joy to all the attendances. The enthusiasm showed by audiences had made this event lively, hence strengthen the ties of all Indonesian students in Auckland. “Karaoke night is great, hopefully in the upcoming days it will be greater!” said one of PPIA member who attended Karaoke night. Furthermore, this event is expected to be established more frequently, so Indonesians who studied in Auckland could gather and bond more often. “Hopefully karaoke night could happen more than once… because this event is capable of gathering students, so they will get warm feeling from this togetherness and this event could show that they are not alone in the city of Auckland” said one of the audiences who joined Karaoke Night.
We would like to show our gratitude to everyone who have supported this event, which included Java and also the audiences and members of PPIA who had joined this event. Hopefully the spirit of togetherness could continue everlasting throughout the next events which will be held by PPIA.
